“While the dinner was fantastic, those who had the fixed price dinner combined with a cruise, were treated differently. I would have ordered and paid for more but waiters avoided us after they served us. When I asked about our “special “ cruise attached to the dinner I was told the next cruise was not for a long time. After a while we walked over to the cruise and there were hundreds of people in line. Most of them had just bought their tickets while we had purchased in advance. Once we got on, the boats were absolutely PACKED! I will say that once we got going we all went…”

“It took a good 45 minutes to even get in to the restaurant and it was freezing outside. So unfortunately that did spoil the occasion somewhat. But I gave 5 stars purely on how once inside Madame Brasserie. We were served by a wonderful waiter called Loic. He was so attentive, friendly and professional. The 3 courses were delicious. We couldn’t have asked for better. Yes I would most definitely do it again but would make sure to wear more suitable clothing.”

At Caramel Sarrasin in Paris, Stéphane teaches you to mix smooth batter, use a Breton billig and rozell, cook sweet wheat crêpes, and sample toppings over tea. The three-hour English class includes history, cooking tips, photos, a recipe by email, and a small gift.

At Crêperie Élo, near Jardin du Luxembourg and Saint-Michel, you get a Breton-style meal: one buckwheat galette, one sweet crêpe, and a bottle of brut cider. The setting is minimalist and welcoming, but this is mainly a tasty meal, not a guided lesson in Breton food or cider making.
“It was very literally eating crepes and a cider- almost like a meal deal- for €20 you get 2 crepes and a cider- not a tasting experience as such I expected it to be more about the history of the food and explanation where and how the cider is brewed etc The staff and owner are very kind and helpful though”
